 Our new Maasai friend, Samuel Saringe. Samuel has been associated with Thomson Safaris for several years. |
 A small Maasai "boma" that we approached during our hike to the Engaresero waterfall at Lake Natron. A boma is a small neighborhood made up of a few men and all their wives and children. |
 A Maasai house under construction. It is made of sticks and cow dung. Cow urine is used to help hold the dung together. |

 This is where the cattle are kept. It is a circular area surrounded by the individual homes. Fences are built using acacia trees and their sharp thorns. |
